Awards

In Model United Nations, several awards may be given out to delegates in each committee in recognition of their contribution and involvement spanning the course of the conference.

It is required for delegates to have submitted a position paper on time in order to qualify for awards. Exceptions will be made under specified circumstances.

VSAMUN offers three awards in General Assembly Committees:

Best Delegate, Best Speaker, Most Improved Delegate.

Honourable Mentions are also given however, it is not considered to be an award.

Delegates in Crisis Council will be awarded Best Delegate and Best Speaker.

All of the aforementioned awards and honours are given to individual delegates.

The Best Delegate award will be given to delegates who performs and prepares the best and is the most knowledgable about the given topic in regards to their country within their committee.
The Best Speaker award will be given to delegates who performs and is the most well-spoken within their committee, does not necessarily have to be most prepared and knowledgable within their given topic.
The Most Improved Delegate award will be given to delegates who show the most significant improvement over the course of the conference.
Honourable Mentions will be given to delegates who performs and prepares well and is knowledgable about the given topic in regards to their country, however, is not deserving of top honours.

Certificates will be sent to each recipient's school when ready; dates pending.
